1. Our Christian Foundation

Masterpiece Journey is grounded in Scripture, biblical principles, and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Our assessments, reports, resources, and coaching are designed to help couples better understand, strengthen, and grow in their marriages within this Christian framework.

You do not have to profess Christianity to use Masterpiece Journey. However, our biblical framework is foundational to the service and is not customized or redefined to accommodate differing theological, philosophical, or cultural views of marriage.

By choosing to use Masterpiece Journey, you acknowledge and understand the Christian perspective from which its content and services are provided.

2. Age Requirement

Masterpiece Journey and the Masterpiece Marriage Assessment are intended for adults age 18 and older.

By using the assessment or related services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

3. Marriage Education and Coaching — Not Professional Treatment

Masterpiece Journey provides marriage education, assessment tools, resources, and coaching intended to encourage greater understanding, reflection, communication, and growth.

Masterpiece Journey does not provide psychotherapy, mental-health treatment, medical care, legal advice, or other licensed professional services.

The Masterpiece Marriage Assessment is a developmental and coaching tool. It is not a clinical or diagnostic assessment and should not be treated as one.

If professional medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other specialized assistance is appropriate for your circumstances, you should seek help from a qualified professional.

4. Assessment Results and Your Perspective

Your Individual Assessment and Your Marriage Report are generated from information you provide.

Your responses represent your perspective at a particular point in time. They should not be interpreted as an objective determination about your spouse, your marriage, or what your spouse thinks, feels, believes, or intends.

Assessment results are designed to identify patterns, strengths, opportunities for growth, and areas worth exploring.

They are not intended to diagnose a person or relationship or predict whether a marriage will succeed or fail.

5. Individual and Together Reports

Each participant's Individual Assessment responses and Your Marriage Report are private to that participant within the Masterpiece Journey service.

Connecting two spouses does not automatically give either spouse access to the other's Individual Assessment responses or Individual Report.

When both spouses have completed the necessary assessment process, Masterpiece Journey may use information from both participants to generate a separate couple-level Together Report.

The Together Report is a distinct Masterpiece Journey resource. It does not convert either participant's Individual Report into shared content or provide one spouse with access to the other's private Individual Report.

A participant may voluntarily choose to personally share their own report with a spouse or another trusted person.

6. No Guaranteed Outcomes

Masterpiece Journey is designed to provide couples with insights, biblical teaching, practical tools, and coaching that can support growth in their marriage.

Marriage outcomes depend on many factors, including the circumstances, decisions, actions, and participation of the individuals involved.

Freedom From Within, NFP and Masterpiece Journey do not guarantee any particular relationship, marriage, personal, spiritual, or coaching outcome.

Using an assessment, reading a report, participating in coaching, or completing recommended activities does not guarantee that a particular issue will be resolved or that a marriage will improve or continue.

Masterpiece Journey provides a framework and guidance. Participants remain responsible for their own decisions and actions.

7. Emergencies, Abuse, and Immediate Safety Concerns

Masterpiece Journey is not an emergency or crisis service.

The Masterpiece Marriage Assessment, reports, resources, and coaching are not intended to address situations involving immediate danger, abuse, domestic violence, threats of harm, or other emergencies.

If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact appropriate emergency services.

Depending on your circumstances, you may also need assistance from qualified medical, mental-health, legal, pastoral, domestic-violence, law-enforcement, or other professional resources.

Do not rely on Masterpiece Journey as a substitute for appropriate emergency or professional assistance.

8. Your Responsibility for Information You Provide

You are responsible for the information you provide through Masterpiece Journey.

The usefulness of an assessment or report depends in part on the accuracy and thoughtfulness of the responses provided.

You agree not to intentionally provide another person's private information without appropriate permission or impersonate another individual.

You are also responsible for protecting access to your email account and devices. Masterpiece Journey may use secure email links to provide access to private assessment and report information.

9. Ownership of Masterpiece Journey Content

Unless otherwise stated, the Masterpiece Journey platform and its original content and intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Freedom From Within, NFP.

This may include, among other things:

• the Masterpiece Marriage Assessment;
• assessment questions and structure;
• scoring and interpretation methodologies;
• the Masterpiece Dynamics and related frameworks;
• reports and report structures;
• exercises and activities;
• educational and coaching materials;
• written, visual, and digital resources;
• website content; and
• Masterpiece Journey branding and original creative materials.

Your use of Masterpiece Journey does not transfer ownership of this intellectual property to you.

10. Personal Use of Your Reports and Materials

Masterpiece Journey grants you permission to use reports and resources provided to you for your own personal and marriage-development purposes.

You may retain and, when functionality is available, print or download your reports.

You may voluntarily share your own report privately with people you trust, such as your spouse, pastor, counselor, coach, mentor, or other trusted advisor.

Unless you have written permission from Freedom From Within, NFP, you may not:

• reproduce or distribute the Masterpiece Marriage Assessment;
• publish or commercially distribute Masterpiece Journey reports or proprietary materials;
• copy or reproduce the assessment question bank or scoring methodology;
• sell or sublicense Masterpiece Journey content;
• systematically extract or scrape Masterpiece Journey content;
• reverse-engineer proprietary assessment, scoring, selection, or interpretation systems; or
• use Masterpiece Journey materials to create or develop a competing assessment, report, course, product, or service.

Reasonable quotations or references for ordinary personal purposes are not prohibited by this section.

11. Purchases and Paid Services

Some Masterpiece Journey products or services may require payment.

Prices and applicable purchase terms will be disclosed before you complete a transaction.

Additional terms relating to a particular purchase, including any applicable cancellation or refund policy, may be presented at the time of purchase. Those terms become part of your agreement with us for that transaction.

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

12. Appropriate Use

You agree to use Masterpiece Journey only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not interfere with the service or the rights of others.

You may not attempt to:

• gain unauthorized access to another participant's information or report;
• circumvent authentication or authorization protections;
• interfere with the operation or security of the service;
• introduce malicious software or code;
• access private systems or information without authorization; or
• use Masterpiece Journey for fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive purposes.

We may restrict or discontinue access when reasonably necessary to protect participants, Masterpiece Journey, Freedom From Within, NFP, or the integrity and security of the service.

13. Service Availability

We work to make Masterpiece Journey reliable and useful, but we cannot guarantee that the website or services will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or system.

We may modify, maintain, improve, suspend, or discontinue portions of the service as Masterpiece Journey develops.

When practical, we will seek to avoid unnecessarily disrupting access to purchased or completed resources.

14. Third-Party Services

Masterpiece Journey relies on third-party services to operate portions of the platform, which may include hosting, database, authentication, email, payment-processing, and other technology providers.

Your interaction with certain third-party services may also be subject to those providers' applicable terms and privacy practices.

Freedom From Within, NFP is not responsible for outages, interruptions, or actions of third-party services outside our reasonable control.

15. Disclaimer and Limitation of Responsibility

Masterpiece Journey services and resources are provided for educational, developmental, and coaching purposes.

While we strive to provide thoughtful, useful, and reliable resources, individual circumstances and marriages vary substantially.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Freedom From Within, NFP is not responsible for decisions or actions taken solely in reliance on an assessment, report, resource, or coaching interaction, or for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

16. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us, particularly because the Masterpiece Marriage Assessment may involve personal information about your marriage.

Our collection, use, sharing, and protection of personal information are described in the Masterpiece Journey Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to These Terms

Masterpiece Journey will continue to develop, and these Terms may occasionally need to change.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.

Your continued use of Masterpiece Journey after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Freedom From Within, NFP in the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
